E-commerce System

A headless e-commerce platform for an escape room network, designed for selling gift vouchers and physical products. The backend is built on the Sylius / Symfony (API Platform) engine, and the client application (storefront) is deployed in Next.js. The entire solution is integrated with the client's external Django-based management system, which includes a custom-built voucher management module.

Key system components:

• Dedicated voucher system: Support for both digital and physical gift cards (room-specific, value-based, and premium packages with additional items). Automated generation of print-ready PDFs, options for online or on-site redemption, and full price history tracking in compliance with the Omnibus Directive.
• Integration architecture (Multi-service): Synchronous and asynchronous (Symfony Messenger / Redis) communication with the booking system, Furgonetka logistics service, and Przelewy24 payment provider. To ensure reliability during external API failures, retry/backoff mechanisms and dead-letter queues (DLQ) were implemented.
• Headless Checkout: A custom API exposing cart logic, catalog promotions, delivery time and cost calculations, and legal notifications (estimated delivery time, lowest price in the last 30 days) to the Next.js storefront. Supports the purchasing flow for both guests and registered users.
• Extensive administrative tools: A significant expansion of the Sylius admin panel to include custom product and voucher configuration, price management logic, dedicated order fulfillment workflows, and customer data anonymization mechanisms in compliance with GDPR.
